I am new to this but working with a friend/mentor. After a period of training and graduated released I flew two birds. One failed to return. A couple of days later through Facebook I learned that someone I know, smile or so away had my bird. They had been feeding it and were able to capture it. I brought it home, kept it confined to the loft for two weeks and then flew it from the loft and then again from a mile away. It returned to the friends house where again they fed it. Home once again I flew it from the loft with great results, returning on cue. Two nights ago it failed to return. Sure enough it was back to the friend's house. This time no feeding. Will it return when hungry or has it home with them?

Aww, seems like it has taken a liking to your friends. If you want it to stay with you, you might have to keep it locked up and let it have babies. Usually once they have babies they recognize the area as their home and don't fly away.
