How do I set up shipping?

I have a friend who is willing to basically give me his beautiful bokhara trumpeters. I have never even thought of shipping a live animal. How is it done? Who do I go to? I see alot of bird websites who ship all over the US so I can't imagine Oregon to California would be bad. ??????

I think the post office will not ship that avatar birds you have. It contains flammable liquid.
