Came home and saw a pigeon sitting by my front stoop and it would not move that much. Sort of scurry away. I gave it some bread but it didn't eat. My husband later picked it up and put it in a box in our enclosed porch. He said the wing looks broken.

Please don't tell me to take it to wild life rescue, I live in Brooklyn NY, no one cares for pigeons. They are all over the place. The rescues are for cats and dogs. What can I do to help this bird?

You're welcome. I hope it helps. Please let us know.

For now, can you get it some wild bird seed or a dove mix maybe? Leave seed and water with him? There is no nutrition in bread.

Jay, sad news. This morning when my husband went to check on it, it died. It was more hurt than we thought. Poor thing. We buried it under the hydrangea
bush.

I never knew so many people took care of sick pigeons, it's really great that a site like this is available. To be honest I always saw them as a nuisance. That has surely changed.

Many blessings folks. Jay thanks for the advice.

Take care and be well.

Oh, I'm so sorry he didn't make it. That's sad. Thanks for trying for him.
