I have been looking out for this bird for nearly 10 days now. I didn't feed it the first couple of days as I didn't realise it was lost. Worryingly it spends a lot of time on the ground and goes into bushes if I approach it. It can fly and does so with ease, although it limps a bit. It also spends most of the day on my roof, even in the pouring rain. It does have a ring but I can't get close enough to it to see it. I stopped feeding it in the hope it would fly off but after 3 days it didn't and I felt cruel for starving it. I keep hitting dead ends with rescue centres etc. I am going to Spain for a few months and although my neighbour is happy to feed the bird in my absence I am aware it's not really a wild animal and it's situation isn't ideal. I am in Ely in Cambridgeshire, Uk. If anyone can give me some useful help or advice I would appreciate it.
