I have a 13 year old ring-neck dove. Lately she has been acting strange. She sits a lot more than she ever has before and she is not as active as usual. She has a clear bubble on her underside near her bottom, it is as big as an egg but it is soft...
I am wondering if it might be an egg that may have developed without a shell? I hope it doesn't kill her. She looks healthy and seems to be eating.
Her droppings seem to be dry, much dryer than usual
I would appreciate any comments or advice. I am very worried. :(

Thank you

You mean it may be a shell-less egg that is stuck to the bottom of her? Can you remove it? Or it is inside of her but showing? Just trying to get a clearer idea. Any chance of taking pictures? Make sure she is warm (use a heating pad on low with a towel over it) until we get it figured out.

It does sound like an egg without a shell that is stuck but as Terry told you, a picture would be helpful.
Here is the contact info for the only vet I know of that is closest to you. I know she is a way away too but she may be able to make a referral to a vet closer to you.
