When I went out to the loft this mourning I saw my ringneck dove had an injury on the back of its neck. The feathers are gone from there and there is some blood. I don't know how this happened, but it doesn't look to serious, just superficial. The dove is acting normal, how should I treat it? I don't know of any vets in this area. Please help.

If this is just a superficial wound, you probably don't need to do anything. I would probably just wipe off the wound area with saline solution and have a close look to be sure there really isn't an injury and call it good. Is your dove housed with pigeons or other birds?

When I was a dove beginner, I had a dove with a wound I thought was superficial. The dove died.
Now I know better. Leave no wound untreated. The bird needs a warm hospital cage, vitamins, and some good food for a few days.

whatley is absolutely right, the bird may need to be looked at by an experienced dove handler.
