I have a squab who was injured. It has this thing under its neck also. Can anyone help identify what this is? The skin around it is green and swollen. There is two ball-like masses inside that are hard.

baby was eager to eat from me so I will mix up some food. I couldn’t look down its throat because I currently have press ons and don’t have anyone to help me out with him. My mom will come home in an hour or two and she will help me.

Could be a cyst, or a tumor, or an infection in the paratympanic sinus.

Well if the swelling decreased then I'm not sure. It seems like a very good sign that it isn't the worst-possible cause (a neoplasm), and that if the cause is infection then the bird's system is fighting it effectively. In which case, perhaps just monitor the bird's condition for a few days while ensuring that he is getting sufficient vitamin A.
