Hi, just joined today because we found an injured adult wood pigeon in the garden. It appears to be just its wing that is injured. We caught it under a towel and have put it in a box . We left it a couple of hours and then gave it some water and seed. It has eaten and done a poop. What do we do next? . I don,t want to take it to the vet if they will just put it to sleep. What sort of cage do we need to get?. My sons love pigeons and are already getting attached so I hope thing work ou well. We are in Buxton, Derbyshire .

Thanks for your help, we took him to the rescue centre. They promised they would only put him to sleep if he was too badly injured to rehabilitate. They just phoned to say his wing was shattered so there was no other option. Feeling so sad now.
