Just wondering if there is an actual good way to stop keeping pigeons. Seems as if its a one way street. Care for them properly and they reproduce. Seems as if you have to make some not so desirable decisions after a short period of time.
Keep building loft spaces, and shouldering the increasing food/vet budget? Hows the housekeeping? Do i start replacing their eggs? Adopting birds out which are now quite possibly part of a mated pair? Give them back to the breeder i got them from who processes them for food? Yikes.
I dearly love all my birds, but i dont want to love them into a bad situation. I dont want to adopt them out necessarily because 1)nobody wants them and 2)if they do want them they have no clue.
Also, the prospect of possibly relocating to another state which is a much colder climate is a huge concern for me.
Stuck. Suggestions?
