I am fairly new to the pigeon hobby and was hoping for some suggestions on the best substrate to use in my loft. I have the feeder suspended from the roof and a brand new plywood floor. I'm hoping to keep an easy to clean loft. I have read about the various diseases caused by uncleanliness and feeding directly on the loft floor. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I just scrape everyday. Some people, I've heard, use wood pellets. As I understand it to be even using substrate still requires turning it and taking out some of them and replacing the lost ones. Having substrates don't prevent you from cleaning. Some even use corn cobs, sand, hay, etc.
