Where are you guys buying your feed from? You see the feed dealers close to me are moving too far away or have closed down. Places like Birder's Paradise(guy from Elizabeth feed,(Brian)) keeps moving further away. Hendriks Feed seems to have closed down. Now, I have found a place called "The Pet Guys"(70 Eugene St, Toronto)----anyone use these guys? Comments? Thanks!

Hi BJ,

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you.

If I remember correctly Canada still has a regulatory grain control board and they operate by storing grain in elevators to hold it off the market until the prices go up. You need to get yourself an empty 50 lb grain sack (WalMArt bird seed) and go for a drive into the country until you see a grain elevator. If you tell them you are a bird enthusiast they will usually let you pick up all the grain lying around in spillage for free.

If you google "grain elevators in canada" it will give you a list of the locations.

Good Luck!
