I’m a pigeon breeder up in the Canning area and one of my three year old female
Homers has been acting strangely. Her head and tail are tilted to the same side and she keeps falling to that side, as well as blinking a lot. Is it possible that she had a stroke and how I should help her. She flies free most days and is a very healthy bird otherwise, this is a very sudden change in her demeanour and I’m worried about her.

Does she spin in circles and tosses her head backwards when eating? Is the head tilted upside down sometimes? It can be paramyxo virus. You should seperate her from the others for the next 6 weeks as this is highly contageous. Don't let her fly free. After 6 weeks she won't be contageous, but might still have neurological issues. Supportive care is needed. Calcium and vitamins will help.
