I rescued a bird the other day found hanging by it's one leg caught in thread.
Initially didn't seem to have damaged the leg as it could stand and was walking on it. Now two days on it's holding it up more and it's hot and a little swollen.

The back toe is bending under the foot and it's bleeding where it's rubbing on the perch.

I've strapped and splinted the toe in the hope it may heal in it's normal position, and have decided to put her on ant-biotics as I don't know what is causing the leg to be hot and swollen.

Have just edited this post as I was unable to delete it, but my original question isn't valid now.
