I am just getting started and I am in need of a loft. I am unable to build one but I was thinking of buying a premade metal shed and adding the landing board, etc to it. Has anyone used a metal shed or will the birds not like it?

I have a metal roof, but the side walls are wood, I think metal may be fine, but dark in there, and you will need to hang perches, so you need to beable to do that, I did use a few opaque roof panels that lets light in the loft but not direct sunshine, so they don't bake in there. alot of ventilation without letting any critters in will be important, it could get hot in there in the summer.

Metal might be a bad idea depending on where you live.
Metal gets really hot when sitting in the sun for long periods of time. Buy urself a premade wood shed at like home depot or Lowes and then just add a landing board and aviary.

Unless they are well vented, metal and plastic sheds tend to trap too much moisture, which can lead to disease problems.
