That would be a lot of topics to cover. Start by reading the sticky first. Learn to take care of pigeons first. Then once your learned how to do that, then you can start racing. You need to know housing, feeding, training, medical care, etc., first. Obviously you need to get racing pigeons as well which is another big topic.
Welder,

Welcome to the best game in town! You will need to find a mentor or two that can help you, in the meantime have you checked out the American Racing Pigeon Union's website? You can find it at pigeon.org. They can be a big help in getting you connected to the racing pigeon sport! I agree with RodSD about the amount to learn but if your serious then that's all part of the fun!

Hi KEVIN,Well there is a racing pigeon guy in GUTHRIE CENTER his name is DENNY LARSON if you want his phone number Iwill send it to you on a pm (personal message). ...GEORGE;)
Kevin,
That is perfect then. You are experienced. You are halfway there. I think you need to get a racing pigeon then. Practice training those. Then perhaps you can join a racing club. You obviously need to buy those clocking device which the club uses.Someone will probably go to your house to gps your place. Then proceed after that with training and racing. Hopefully you can find a racing mentor to guide you.
Thanks guys this is helpful info well be back w/ more ??s kevin
I have found a mentor he lives about an hour from my place has been racing for many many yrs and he is starting a lil club for us around my area i will be getting 10 young'ns and that will be good to get started so thanks to everyone for the help kevin

Hello all I recently bought some modenas and i was wondering how ya use them w/ training and can they fly I bought a breeder pair thanks kevin
I don't remember using modena's as droppers. I thought they use like fantail as droppers. High flier and tippler fanciers use droppers. I think some racers use them as well.

Here is how tippler fanciers use droppers as part of their training:

You probably can modify that for your homer training.
Thanks rodsd for the info I had heard people using the modena I was just checking on here still new to all this and I did check out that link I also have a white roller well it is a red grizzle that I could use as a dropper he does not roll all that good and instead of culling it I can use him for a dropper kevin
