I found a pigeon in my backyard this morning, there was no band on him that I could see, but just to make sure does anyone recognize this bird?

dont recognize him or her, but i do like how the white flights are layered in the wing pattern

I got a better look at him, and I don't think he's wild. the wild pigeons always seem to have these beady little eyes, and are usualy a vived red or orange. They are also very quick, nervous, and skittish from what I've seen. He seems to have brownish red eyes and is quite calm for a new comer.

Looks like a young bird. Especially if its eyes look brown.

He seems to be making himself at home, but I have noticed that he hesitates alot before he flys. Is this a sign of injury?

I suppose there could be some pain that's making him hesitate. Or he could just be a cautious bird. Usually if they can fly or walk without problems, there isn't any injuries there.
I keep looking at that picture, and even though it's small and just a back view, I think if it isn't a feral, then it may be a lost young roller.

Looks even more roller-ish to me On the other hand, also looks a lot like a born feral. Either way, she's a pretty little bird

I'm going to see if I can capture her when it's feeding time. Maybe she'll even stay

The wild bird didn't come in, infact it just dissapeared when I gave the food out. Part of me is hoping it won't come back tommorow, I don't want it giving my birds any diseases or something.

I saw him in the sun today and I think I saw some red bleeding through the black...
