I would appreciate any positve feedback on either one loft or futurity races. I know there has been some negatives about some, but I would really like hearing from anyone who has had a pleasant experience, and which race it was. Thanks, Don.

I can't provide any real testimonies yet but I can say that I have entered my first one loft event this year and chose the Winners Cup race in Oklahoma. I choses this race based on the recomendation of my mentor, Warren Smith who has plenty of first hand knowledge. I sent my birds a month ago and all I can say to this point is that I got both a phone call and an e-mail when my birds arrived to let me know they made it. I also have gotten two updates to this point and they haven't even been loft flown yet.

So far, I am very pleased with the treatment of the birds as well as the communication from the organizers. We'll see how the rest of the summer goes.

I have participated in four different One Loft Events over the years. My #1 choice would be the Winners Cup and my #2 the Flamingo International Challenge.

When you are playing for real money, then the integrity of the people running the event is #1 in my mind. There may be some other great events available, but these are the two, out of the four, that I could recommend.

There are issues out there, but it is a very small world, and so I will simply stick with who I have raced with, and who I will race with again in the future. I have birds in both of the events above for 2009. I don't have birds in other events I was in previous years. Read between the lines, as that is all I will say in this regard.

A few that my mentor flies in and continues to fly in are the Snake River Challenge, Fred Campbell memorial, the WOW's truck race, and the Spirit of Colorado.

Some of these are Futurities (Multi fliers) and one loft race (One flier). I have sent birds to the Fred Campbell and they did well and held them over to fly old birds in their club. Nice bunch of folks.

The CBS/Texas Gusher and Snow Bird Classic races seem well managed also.
