I have a young fledgling pigeon that was dropped off at my vet clinic - he is a sweet pigeon that apparently fell out of his nest and a client brought him in. He eats very well is drinking and voiding very well. My concern is that he doesn't walk yet - he has full feather with yellow baby hair still on his head so i am trying to gage his age. I have raised wild birds before but never a pigeon and never one that doesn't walk - he uses his head and beak to adjust his posture in the paper lined cage i have him in. I tried to get him to grasp my finger but he doesn't!! He will eat on his own ravenously!!! Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated as I have grown very attached to him in the 3 days I have had him.

Thanx

Hi Nicole, welcome to the forum.
Thank you for helping this baby pigeon.
There is something wrong with the baby if it doesn't use his feets.
As terry suggested, post the picture or several pictures including feets.
