Hi all.

I am a new member of this forum. Nice to meet you all. I have two pigeons. One is 13 years old and the other is 12 years old.

Since the last 5 days, my pet pigeon has been displaying symptoms that he has discomfort in his feet. He has two toes with swelling and redness which look like rashes. He stands on one foot most of the time and refrains from walking normally.
This is what I have seen on his feet. What is this and what medication, topical or oral can be used?

I live in India. My pigeon is 13 years old and he is a fancy Indian fantail mix.

Almost looks like a small pox growth? Have you checked if there's not something wrapped around the toe? Maybe a human hair? You can put some antibiotic cream on, like betadine and see if this helps.

hello. maybe at night, something is getting at his feet from under the wire floor? i have also seen the pull out trays rubbing on their toes during cleaning. thnks.
