This is probably in the wrong place, but I am not able to post in the fantail discussions. ????

I have spent many hours now trying to identify the fantails that I have and the more I read the more confused I get. I have "Indian Fantails" However mine are shakers. My birds stand erect and do not put their heads back like the pictures of the Broad tailed shakers. In every other way they meet the standard for Indian Fantail including the leg feathers and crest The standard that I have read lists the shaking as a fault???

Could someone please help me assess what I have?

If their appearance is of the Indian fantail then That is what I would call them, and just add they have a fault of the shaking.

If they look like the American fantail then I would call them that.

If they look like a mix between the two..then call them Indian and American mix fantails.
