I have some homers that are a year or older never been flown. I have had the about 2 months now can they be homed to my loft if I did it just like I did my yb's once again never been out of a loft. Thanks for any help. Ashley

Mmmm...I have re-settled my own birds after moving homes obviously with the understanding that I was taking the chance of losing them. Have they raised young yet in your loft? It works better if they have raised young in their current location, but please understand you are taking a risk if you try it.

soaping the wing(s)

dawn liquid soap type... there are a few different ideas how to do it... both wings or one wing... 3 flights are 5...

i have done this with a few birds... even strong young birds... and i have lost a couple birds even after doing it...

If they have never been flown then your chances are better... but what happens if they fly the coop? perhaps a starving pigeon lost... so you may want to just breed them and fly their young.
