thanks for the jackson Pollack reference..I am a painter who loves Pigeons and is caring for one that has a Hawk injury AND is recovering!!
I wondered about the proper size box for this one bird. And do they like to be in the sun. I have her on a table in my kitchen facing an open windowand do you keep the food available 24/7?
Thanks..Kathleen

Hi Kathleen,

I just moved your post to its own thread. You can go to any forum that applies to the subject you wish to discuss and then click on "NEW THREAD" on upper left side, that way you can be addressed quicker/quickly. In regards to your current rehab bird, you can always continue on the original thread started.

The size of the box or cage should be big enough to allow the bird to stretch its wings without allowing too much activity, as you want the bird to mend without reopening any old wounds.

It is good to keep food and water available for all rehab birds 24/7.

Sunlight is excellent for all birds, as long as he is not getting any cold air drafts from the window he is exposed to.

Thank you.
