Hi All-

We're looking for some help with an injured younger bird who we took out of a busy parking lot (with some crows circling overhead).

It definitely has one bad leg (splayed out to the side) and seems to be unable to take flight although his wings do not look injured. By the time we got him it was past the time that any animal services operation was open so we're looking some insight into how to handle this (aside from the helpful info we've found here).

Would perfer to take him somewhere that will help instead of euthanizing- any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Chris & Gwen

Thank you for the replies!

We managed to hook up with a private rescue this morning and handed "Lemon" over to them. Based on their feedback she looked good and ready for some proper (but not serious) TLC before being released again. Phew. Crows + busy parking lot meant we definitely did the right thing here.

This forum provided some much needed insight and info during that "what should we do?" time so we are really grateful for it, and we learned a lot about a species we (shamefully) didn't pay much attention to before. They really are amazing creatures-- and I'm certain we'll be back.

Thanks again,

Chris
