I was about to take my dog for a walk at about 10pm tonight when I heard rustling by my apartment and saw a group of cats heading to the noise so my dog and I headed over there too. I arrived just in time to find this poor shocked pigeon trying to fly away frantically from these cats. I picked it up and took in into my room and placed it in my 50gal tarranium so it could be safe away from the pets and rest peacefully.

I'm not sure if it was the shock from being so late or if it is a concern that it couldn't fly. It's wing wasn't drooping and I saw no injuries on it, only its feathers fell out and its poor heart was racing from what transpired with the cats.

I'm not entirely sure how it fell out of its tree but I think it might have been the cats... though I'm unsure. Do you think I should take it to the vet? There isn't any programs here where I'm from that will help rescue wild pigeons and the spca I know wouldn't even waste their time on the bird.
