My opinion is that if it is not homers, you are not really resettling them. It is more like you are letting them get familiarize with their new home and their new environment. As I understand these birds just fly really high near your loft so they are local birds to me. To answer your question, yes, they can. To me the most difficult are the homers because they have this concept of "home."
