Hello members,

Any of you know if any of San Diego's suburbs don't allow pigeons?

I'm house hunting and wouldn't want to buy a place in an area that prohibits pigeons.

Thanks a bunch,
Joe

I would check at the county offices, and especially the neigborhood covenants. My neighborhood only prohibits raising livestock as a farm type situation.Me and one other guy have pigeons here and luckily have had no gripes from neighbors.

Thanks Pip. I'll most likely settle in the Mira Mesa, Scripps Ranch, Penasquitos, or Poway area. I think it's ok in Mira Mesa as I've seen pigeons fly there through the years. I just don't know about Poway, Penasquitos, or Scripps Ranch.

An ordinance may allow it, but how about your neighborhood. Maybe you should stay away from rich places especially with housing association thing houses. Just a thought. Scripps Ranch seems to be a rich area place with multi-million houses. I think history wise it used to be a ranch, but not anymore. The way I see it is that the more rural the place is the more relax the place is with pigeons. Check code(ordinance) anyway.
