Hello-

SF Animal Control Officer Ellie has contacted me about a "king pigeon with a head cold" that she found. Can anybody foster and treat this bird? I'm full up with 2 sick birds indoors and the full loft outdoors and so can't take him in.

Elizabethy - would this possibly be a respiratory infection? I don't have the arsenal of medications that you all do yet, so I don't think I can treat this pigeon without ordering more meds....

Thank you so much for your willingness to help!

I'm still waiting on more info from the rescuer (they think it could be candida) and they may take it to an avian vet today. Once they get it on meds, I may come back and ask you to foster it through until it's well enough to join my loft. Please stay tuned!
