Hi, today we discovered a pigeon sat on our apartment balcony. It has been there now for around four hours sat on a edge of a plant pot.It did not move when we went out and it tried to fly away but flapped its wings and fell back down. We have put out water which it has drunk a bit of and bread .When it has opened its bowles it was quite slimy whichi think means its sick?? Does anyone know what I can do to help it ? I cant take it indoors as I have a small child does anyone know if anyone would come and collect it to treat it like a rescue cetre? we are on the borders of se london/kent.

many thanks

The RSPCA will just kill it and several Wildlife rescue places will do the same.

Can you put it in a box with a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel?

The best places to take it to would be London Wildcare Trust:

London Wildlife Hospital
Beddington Park, Church Road,
Wallington SM6 7NN
Telephone: 0208 647 6230

or Pigeon Recovery at 8 Vermont Road, Sutton, Surrey

You could also contact Swan & Friends Bird Rescue
55, Copsleigh Avenue, Salford, Redhill, Surrey RH1 5BQ
Tel: 01737 773712
