I think it would be wise to to take Jaye up on his kind offer to help with some meds for this guy. Wheezing, even a little, is not a good sign in birds and can turn bad very quickly. I would feel much better if this little one was on metronidazole and Cipro right now.
Karyn is right--wheezing is not a good sign. This bird is not 100% and it would be unwise to "wait and see." Were she mine I would go ahead and treat her with metronidazole and start antibiotics. If you can't get Cipro, a combination of Doxycyline and Tylan is effective against respiratory infections.
Thank you for your great advice! She is now looking very good! She is very active and doesn't puff up except in the early morning (cold mornings). Thanks again!
