how do i decide which cock bird, to choose for my beautiful white fantail dove .. mama cass...pairing is something ive never tried to do, so what shd i look for in a male bird, my net, that is keeping my pair and mama cass in, at the moment is due to come down in 5 weeks, and it will be impossible to replace as on a wall.really not sure wht to do my birds are
mama cass ......last years hen
houdini............this years cock
glinda..............this yrs hopefull paired hen, with houdini

look for a nice healthy looking fantail male and let her get to know him

If the hen has no choice, she will probably take any (including another hen!). I usually let my birds make their own choice. They seem happier, but somehow they ended up choosing my cross birds.
