So I'm trying to bid on some auction birds, and

A seller on a racing pigeon auction site has a couple of birds I was interested in but I noticed some inconsistencies in his descriptions. I go through the sites "question and answer" protocol and the owner of the birds responds that he should have been more clear about what he is offering. He states that he should have put pics of the actual birds up for auction pedigrees and not pics of the parents of the two birds up for auction pedigrees. He also states that "they are worth more than they will bring on this auction" wording several times.

I then ask another question and ask if he could put the actual band numbers of the birds up for auction, instead of the band numbers of the parents of these two birds. I also ask if the parents are nestmates as the pedigrees indicate maybe they are. I also ask him to clarify what year the birds are banded as the description states "08" but the pedigrees state "07". I also ask what the sex of the auctions birds are. I also ask why both birds have the same photo.

His respones were that the pedigrees were of the parents of the two birds up for auction and that the parents are "07" birds and the auction birds are "08" birds. He also replies that he can not tell the birds apart. Which begs the question as to what the band numbers are. Some other potential bidders ask similar questions.

Suddenly the questions asked and the answers, all disappear. But the auctions continue. The sellers feedback seems very good for past transactions, but something smells fishy. Why wouldn't someone auctioning a bird, provide the band number?

On another note, this auction site states that they have a 100% refund if not satisfied, but that the guarantee does not apply to Mojave Breeding Station auctins, as MBS has its' own guarantee.

Here are the links to the two birds I was initially interested in, and I actually bid on (but no longer the highest bidder). He made it "appear" that the birds were GFL banded but they are not, I do not believe. But who the heck knows. He somehow deleted my (and others) questions and his own answers.

I would never buy from that site, a few people are scandalize. I once sold a few birds on there and Butch from mbs contacted me about the peds. I know for sure if it was someone else asking the same question(thatMBSdid) they would of gotten banned. i know because my friend asked for a ped and the place banned him LMAo. I saw that same bird and family on pigeontrader.com and no on bought it. Looks are decieving.

Also some birds on there say "CAME WITH PEDIGREE"? Wtf is that all about? sounds like a trick question from some guy who sells pigeons from the back of his beat up truck!!! LOLOLOL.

I say to just go with pigeonauctions.com or ipigeon.com the most honest sites for pigeons. Or a few people here have good birds if you ask what family you would want.
