Hi and welcome to PT. It should be more an enclosure than a cage. Like a small shed they can go into at night and be safe from the elements and predators, and to be warm in the cold weather. With a screened in area to go outside in during the nice weather for fresh air and sunshine. You can set up a bath for them outside, which keeps the enclosure dry. They love to bathe and splash a lot. LOL. Inside the enclosure, a nest box and a few perches to roost on. It should be raised above the ground, and the aviary or screened in yard should be facing south.
There should be good ventilation, so vents near the bottom of front wall and vents near the top. We do have a section on here with different loft ideas. Might help to go through it.
