I agree with you about the joys of our birds, they give so much love, and joy and never ask for anything in return. Nature is pure and perfect, as all Creation.

I'm so sorry to hear you were humiliated at work, no one ever has the right to do that to another person-not to mention that is very unprofessional to do so in the work place- especially infront of customers, that is very mean spirited sounds like they have problems-and are in need of prayers. I hope you get a positive response to your application, you don't need to work in a place like that. Sending my thoughts and prayers for a better tomorrow.

I am with you on that , Im in a simular situation too with a new job and to be honest with you I would rather be sh** on by any pigeon than some belittling overbearing troll like boss type who think they own you because the pay you.. its nice to have pigeons to come home to thats the truth ;) screw the rest! lol

I think you have been an asset to them, and they will be sorry to lose you. Shame on them. It is good that you say your peace, humbly, professionally and with respect (even though they didn't do the same for you) (God will bless you), you will do well. Sounds like you have a good lead there.

That new bird sounds beautiful! What a lovely addition to the flock.
this little pigeon showed up on sun,she has no ring but is quite freindly,i know shes not one of my local pigeon friends racers as he only has light checkers and blue bars, shes another "little mystery" but shes more than welcome to stay, shes been into the "pigeons rest"my husband built for the ferals(mr big stuff is not "on guard"just now lol)
Hey tuxbabe,
You mean people act like in Scotland too? I thought it was just where I lived,LOL.
I think you should go ahead and vent to your husband, close friends or just out in the yard. Get it out of your system. Scream at the top of your lungs if you have to.....but when you go back to work, be totally professional, be kind, be gentle, be honest. Be everything they are not. Personaly I do not think you should say anything to tell them off. Bottom line is, it will not make a differance!!! Oh, you may feel better for a little while, but it won't really make a differance. People that do the things that have been done to you are all about themselves and getting ahead even at the expense of another human being. Why lower yourself to their level? Rise above that and be humble and pray for those who dispitefully use you, pray for your enemies that they will find what you are about. they already have enough problems, they need a change in their lives, and perhaps by being gentle as a dove, you may show them that people don't have to act like that to their fellow human beings. I wish you luck in your search for new employment.

i have taken on board what all my pigeon friends have been saying, and let it lie for now, rise above it!be the better person,i have the joy of my family and my pigeons and my cat,i see a beautiful view from my home, i appreciate things around me and dont feel the need to get in others faces or hurt people, although im angry and kinda hurt ill be dignified and have pity on those who have to belittle others to make themselves feel good, just fed the flock, they are cooing and happy(even though its raining)tenmann, yeah i think bad manners and rudeness is universal these days, even here in scotland lol,,thanks all for making me see sense, god bless ya all and your pigeons and doves x
I hope you had a better day today and got to kick some butt. And yes, I definitely know what you mean by how soothing pigeons can be!
Pets have an effect on our psychology. It calms us down, entertain us, etc. It is always a joy to see my pigeons whether on flight or just inside the loft. I have met some people that embarrass you in front of someone so that they ended up looking good. I think it soothes their ego. I usually don't hang out with those people. It robs you of your energy. Nice people elevates you, not put you down!
feelin more positive today,,,thanks guys!spent a lot of time with the pigeons today, just watching, handfeeding and thinking mulling stuff over,im off out later to see a glam rock band, stocked up on pigeon food, bought some nest pans and materials for my special friends, not gonna let work get me down any more!
Glad to see you are getting it sorted in your own mind at least. On the positive side, your job still allows you to come home and appreciate your pigeons. Until I retired, I could not contemplate taking on the responsibility of looking after birds because my job (high school teacher) left me so drained at the end of each day that I struggled to find enough energy for my family and dogs. Now I feel intense freedom in being able to relate to people and creatures who don't use up all my emotional reserves. Jobs should not take over our lives, but often they do; you obviously have things in perspective, know what's important - and so you'll rise above the mean-spirited people of this world who don't have a clue what's what!;)
had a fab time at the 70s nite, danced my socks off lol,i appreciate my pigeons even more,i may be daft but they really make one think about life in general, they are so humble and giving,i think a lot of people are caught up in the "material"world,we all are to some degree, and dont make time for the more spiritual side of life, thats my promise to myself,a lesson learned from these beautiful birds
