whats the way to get the pigeons into the release basket?
i was thinking of removing the wire trap on top of the landing board and place the basket on it in front of the door and get them in that way..

yeah, that may work, or just get up early before sunrise and just put them in the basket.

You can`t tell if a pigeon is "WELL",if you don`t handle them...Make the birds tame by hand feeding a few peanuts,and you will be able to catch them real easy,because they will not fear your hands...If someone raises 150 YB`s,then getting them into the basket anyway you can is great..But if you have 40 or less,you can go into the loft before daybreak,as the other post has said,and then you can feel if things are OK or not....Alamo

I just grab them one by one and they get real pissed except 3 birds that don't find me any threat. Some people grab them when the loft is dark. I still remember the first time I grabbed one of them. I did it at 9 pm super dark with flashlight. LOL! I even accidentally grabbed poops! Never again!
