Something you could do but you'll waste a summer...clip their wings and let them out in the yard once every 3-4 days. They can't fly and stay near the loft, and then I fly them next year. This how ever does degrade their quality in flying a bit :\

Hi KABOOTER, First are you road traning or loft traning? Tipplers are high flyers that when trained properly will fly high above the loft for long periods of time like 10 -12 hours. They are not normaly trained like race birds as that is not what they were bred to do.Now I don't know what kind of loft you have but if its a regular type of back yard loft get some international orange paint and paint a tri- angle on the roof of the loft about 3 x 3 feet you also should be loft flying them at a much younger age by 3-4 months these birds are to strong on the wing GEORGE

just so you know tipplers are a little more flighty when loft training so you have to go slow and make sure they know their home well before letting them out that door but still getting them out younger is always better then when they are wing strong as their homing ability isnt as great as a homer

I think tossingtipplers.com tosses his birds so tipplers may have some homing. I am interested on how you lost those birds. Figure out first why they get lost. You mentioned that they are 3 or 4 months old when released. I think they are too strong on the wing. You are supposed to train them when they are 1 or 2 months old and not give them too much food else they will stay up longer than necessary. Make sure those birds can see their surroundings either with aviary or settling cage.
