Discovered today that a pigeon I have for a week has this thing, which is 1/4 inch wide:

Can it be canker? The bird has good appetite, the droppings look a little dark green (coccidiosis?), no other symptoms.

Apparently is drying out and hopefully will fall off:

It fell off and strangely, was a corn grain. How could this pass through skin?

Now is a sort of wound without blood, I guess is ok to put some betadine.
