Typical Vaccinations

838 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Skyeking
Hey people,

I was just wondering against what diseases a typical pigeon would be vaccinated against. Would that be different in North America than it would be in the UK ?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Pox, Paratyphoid and PMV. In Florida we vaccinate for pox because of the mosquitos in the summer.
Treesa do some fanciers down there, put screen on their lofts too, prevent mosq. for going inside the loft?

Yes, some do.....and I do, (on every opening I have 1/4 inch hardware cloth covered with screening) but they still need the protection of the pox vaccination-because some still get in. But it is just a one time dose, and you don't have to innoculate them for pox ever again.
