Hi everyone, I would really appreciate some advice. In rescued a wood pigeon juvenile few months ago. He was badly hurt, fractured leg, also blind, but I got him proper medical attention and took care of him ever since.
Anyway, lately he got very sick and I'm really worried. He is constantly breathing very heavily, beak slightly open. Another issue is that lately he throws up almost everything I feed him. (He was probably blind since he was very small, he doesn't know how to eat by himself so I crop-feed him.) I took him to regular vet who gave me antibiotics (enrobactin) before I can get to my avian specialist.
I have an appointment on Monday but I am really worried it might be too late. Is there anything I can do to help him? Any idea what could be wrong with him?
I checked his throat for canker but I didn't see anything particular.
Any advice welcome.
