We have 2 ringneck doves and they do not get enough sunlight. How long (hours) should we leave the uv light on per day?

Birds see UV light as well as using it to it utilise Vitamin D.
Apart from making them healthier, Its been compared that Birds having no UV or regular sunlight is like Humans only seeing in Black & White.
Ideally, you can use UV light from around 1 Hr after sunrise till 1 hr before sunset.
Also, the UV element of the bulbs only last about a year so should be changed yearly even though they light & look OK to us.
