Dr. Heidi Hoeffer - board-certified avian specialist. Dr. Hoefer has been treating exotic pets exclusively since 1988. I live in Manhattan and don't drive, but If I did I would be seeing her. I have never seen her in person, but I have heard excellent things about her. I have also read some of her publications that deal specifically with pigeon problems - she seems extremely knowledgeable about pigeons.

Sorry I can't help with finding you a Vet I know a few guys have used vets here on the Island with poor results since most Vets here don't have a clue when it come to pigeons. What's wrong with your birds that your looking for a vet?

I had a few birds die for no apparent reason. Baytrill and canker and coccidiosis meds did not help.

They would get sick and the next day they would die. None of these birds were bred in my loft. Now the birds are fine. I an treating for respitory just in case because that is the only thing I did not try.
