Two extra birds came home with ours the other day and hung out on the rooftop all day. Ours go out in the morning and then later in the afternoon and the two extra ones waited on the roof for the afternoon flight. At end of the day they left but returned again the next morning. This time, only one stayed all day....and its still here! I have offered some food and water and an empty cage for shelter but so far it isn't interested in anything but sitting there. I wonder if it is ill, old or that there is some other reason why it doesn't home....

Any ideas?

Not sure, but if you continue to offer it food and water it may stay for good.

It is lost, tired and weak that is most likely why it hasn't went home. If you can get it, put it some where safe away from your birds incase it is sick. Feed and water it for two or three days and then take it at least 5 miles away and let it go. It should go home...

Does the bird have a band on it`s leg ?? If no band,it`s a wild pigeon...Be careful,because if it`s sick,it can make your birds sick as well....Alamo

Thank you all for your input. The bird has gone ..for now. I did notice a blue band but there was no writing/numbers on it.
