Wanted Hen German Owl

2690 Views 13 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  whitesnmore
I won a pair of banded German Owls at our combine raffle. They were supposed to be a hen and cock and they are 2 cocks. I am looking for a hen to purchase or trade a cock for a hen. These are show quality and are out of show winners. The color is white and brown. I am looking for the same colors if possible. Please help as they are chasing my racing hens all over the place!! Send me a picture of your hen with either price or trade.

Same Situation in reverse

I bought a pair of old german owl pigeons from an auction. Supposed to be breedable, but I got two females. One is a darker brown and one is lighter cream color. I would like to have a male. If your interested in trading I would love to hear from you. I don't have an email account but I will check back to see if your still looking. Thank you, Crystal Northeast Missouri

I bought two tagged old german owl pigeons at an auction. They were supposed to be a breedable pair, but it turns out they are both females. I would love to have a male. One is darker brown and the other is lighter brown. I would be willing to trade either one for a male. If your still looking I'm in northeast missouri please post and let me know. Donny
Sorry but I managed to locate a hen locally and traded the guy for the cock. I think he got the better deal as the hens markings are not that great.
I have them sitting on eggs now and would be willing to let a cock go when they hatch. Send me a PM with your contact info and I will let you know when they are ready to go. I have no bands for these smaller birds so I will not be banding the Young.

Have male Old German owl to give to good home

dear everyone,
I took in a lost and tame Old German owl pigeon this week, in chicago. I am quite sure it is a male as it coos and bobs and "courts" me and my hand. It is gorgeous: pure white with the perfect "shield" reddish-brown on the wings. In perfect condition. It has a band but the band is useless and was reused (it is an old ARPU band; I traced the number with the ARPU organization and even the original owner of the number 20779). This was someone's pet I think, and is lost here now. If anyone wants the gentle bird, please call Karen in chicago: 773-643-8613 or email [email protected]

old german owl

my daughter has been wanting one for her birthday. But I'm having a hard time finding one. I don't know if I'm just looking in the wrong place or what. Do you still have that bird? I may be able to arrange something.

If she doesn't still have it, check with: http://www.ogoc.org/ That's the Old German Owl club. I'm sure someone can help you out from there.

I would be interested in purchasing the pair. I do not have hens to trade. Please let me know how much you would ask for them. 602-400-2948. Thank you, shaunna

you might want to look into the eggbid auction site as they might have wat your looking for sooner or later ;) http://eggbid.com/listings/index.cfm?category=960337699
I have traded the one male for a female and am keeping this pair now. I have young off of them that I would be willing to let go for 15.00 each. You have to send me a box and pre-pay shipping and cost of birds. Sorry no exceptions as I have been burned here on PT.
