couple of my Yb has a watery eye. what could this be and what to use to cure it?
poops are normal eat very well, not been peck or getting into fight with others. im thinking this could be a resperatory problem or maybe cold and thinking to use tylan or aueromicine, what do you guys think? never had this problem before... now they are confined away from my yb loft...but i think yb loft need to be treat also right? but im still observing the others...any info about this...thanks alot

Any other symptoms, like noisy breathing, gurgling, flem inside the beak?

This could be a one eye cold or more. Are you sure they haven't been pecked?

Since you have them isolated, put them on warmth, keep them out of drafts and cold air, and allow them to eat and drink freely, in a stress free environment, and keep a close eye on them. If they are not eating well they will need handfeeding.

I would put a drop of colloidal silver in the effected eye/s as well as the good eye.

Since they are still young, and you don't mention any other symptoms I wouldn't put them on the respiratory meds' yet, up the immune system by giving them probiotics in their food and put a drop of organic apple cider vinegar in their water. Youngsters are so easily stressed and depleted of gut bacteria, it is easy for them to become run down. See how they are a few days from now.

thanks alot treesa... yap no other syntoms i can see and im sure they have not been peck... right berfore i left this morning to go to work walk to my breeding loft and notice right away one of my cock has thesame thing watery eyes and its kinda swollen too... pull him out and isolate too, could this be cold or what ??? taking half day today from work and see whats realy going on. what med should i use??????

If you now have swelling and discharge from both eyes in this bird, that is one classic symptom of respiratory, so I would first seek an avian vet, but if that is not possible start treatment for respiratory disease/infection immediately. You need to use tylen in conjunction with aureomycen. Follow instructions carefully and give the full dosage as recommended.

You may need to check your coop and make sure it is draft free, with plenty of ventilation, and keep coop clean of dust and ammonia, overcrowding can also be an issue where there is respiratory issues.
