I know everyone has some Special Qualities, but Shi is "Very Special". She cheered me up several times, & I always Loved Her Post. I have Tears for Shi, that I never met in person. Only a Special Person like her could do that..... Hugs & Scritches, Happy

It truly breaks my heart to make this announcement.

Shi (Mr. Squeaks) passed away at 1:30 this morning.

She called me yesterday afternoon about 1 stating she was feeling quite ill.
I was with my husband who was having a chemotherapy treatment and told her I would come over as soon as he was settled.

When I arrived at her place she was very short of breathe and had clinical signs of a possible heart attack.

I called 911 and it was determined after an initial exam that she be transferred to the hospital immediately.

From the emergnecy room she went straight to the cardiac cath lab to check her arteries. A blood clot was discovered in one of her arteries and it was confirmed did suffer a heart attack. She was transferred to ICU from there.

I spoke with her this morning ( actually yesterday morning) to see how she was doing. She said she was very tired and felt worse today then she did yesterday.
I spoke with Baya (her daughter) later in the day and she said she was doing OK, but not wanting to eat and just very tired.

I received a call around midnight from Baya stating that her Mother was not expected to make it through the night.
Between the afternoon conversation with Baya and when she called at midnight Shi had gone into cardiac arrest twice.

Chuck and I and Kim (KIPPY) along with Baya, her friend and daughter were at her bedside when she passed away.

My apologies if I seem to be rambling. I'm just pretty much at a loss for words right now.

Shi loved all the members here. She will be missed greatly.

I only saw this now......I am at a loss for words. We all have lost a good friend. I wish I had something intelligent to say. I am praying for the family, and trust that she is in a better place, she will be sorely missed.

I'm at a loss... Shi was always so welcoming and supportive to all of the new people, including me, and continued to be throughout my stay on this site. Of all posts, I've always looked forward to her replies the most, and could always count on a kind word from Shi whenever I wrote here.
I don't even know what to say. We've lost someone very kind, and very special.

I just wanted to post a little update.

I know many of you are wondering how Shi's precious birds are doing.

I've been going over to her place each day to feed and water them and get their cages cleaned.
They are doing very well, despite the fact their world has been turned upside down.

I have also been asked how her cats are doing. They, as well, are doing good.

I know, they all know something is terribly wrong and Baya and I are doing our best to keep their schedule as it has always been.

Dear Cindy, You were, and still are, such a good freind for Shi and the gang. It took me until today to finally be able to post something, for every time I tried to write, I would get lost in sorrow and not be able to write.

Because we all live in Arizona, I kind of thought of us a friends who would one day get together and share Pigeon stories. The loss of Shi really came as a shocker. I can only imagine the impact it must be having on you. It is so quiet here without her sweet comments, it must be really quiet on the homefront too.

I've been thinking alot about Mr. Squeaks and the gang, their little lives have been turned upside down and they have no idea what happened. It does my heart good to know that you and Baya are looking out for the care and comfort of Shi's beloved creatures, during your own great sorrow.

I am so sorry to hear this. Even though I haven't posted here very often, Shi and I have stayed in touch the past several years via E-Mail. My condolences go out to all of Shi's family and friends. I hope all of her beloved animals including Mr Squeaks will find loving homes. Goodbye My friend. Heaven is now a better place.

Wow..I am so sorry to read this. She was a great encouragement to me on pigeon chat. I see that this is an older posting but I want to wish my condolences to her family. She was truly a super nice person and will be missed.
