Hi,

I see these ring like type in squabs, and the other I hope is pigeon pox.

I gave Enroflaxin for it hoping to be paratyphoid, Am I rite.? or

Whats it is & what medication should I follow. Will it spread to other squabs?

I would guess pox.

Pox. Separate it from the others and don't give it any more medicine. You can treat for canker just in case it gets a secondary infection but otherwise antibiotics will only make it harder on the bird because pox is a virus. Probiotics are a good idea as well as apple cider vinegar.

Also worth mentioning...the baby will heal with supportive care; the virus will shed by itself...but you need to keep her/him in a warm place and will have to handfeed.

Also, keep an eye out on your other Pigeons inn case you see the same symptoms in others.

Thanks, so i will give flagyl. Relived to know its pox and not paratyphoid, We have a lot of mosquito and this is the problem.
Hope the squabs will be fine in a week or 2,
