Curious of what age a squab is when its eyes open and when it starts to walk. Also, when are they able to find and eat their own food/drink water? My little one is about a week old now. Not in a hurry, just interested in their development. Another nest with egg with another pair. so more to come!

I also raise heritage piggies and just had a litter of four born yesterday. Fecund time of year.

They open their eyes around day 5, start walking around 2 1/2 weeks old, fledge at 4-5 weeks and during the next couple of weeks still get fed by their parents. You can google "day to day growth of baby pigeon" and there's a few websites that will show you the development.
