Hi everyone,
I just noticed (3 days ago) that my pigeon has these white bumps on the sides of her lower beak. They look and feel like blisters. She has one on each side. Does anyone know what it could be?

idk what that is but if the pigeon is eating and drinking and acting normal... then you are probably good. keep an eye on him for now

as they age, the wattle and cere get bigger in some breeds, and whiter in all healthy pigeons. The beak is also made of similar proteins as our fingernails, and flakes and grows as fingernails do. He is a beautiful bird.

If you haven't yet, get your pigeon to an avian vet for a health checkup if you are able to. Pigeons can develop canker that affects their ability to eat. If those bumps grow, for sure get him/her vet care. An avian vet can check for canker and other issues. If you do bring it to the vet just make sure to tell them that he/she is your pet so that your pigeon get the care it needs.
