I don't see catching it as a problem but what to do with it after I catch it. I have 4 cats a dog and a 6 year old. Keeping it wouldn't be an option.

The point is, no one can rescue the poor bird unless it is captured, no rehabbers or rescue personell will even come out to get the bird if it isn't contained.

If you can google a local bird rehab or bird rescue in your area, that is a start.

If the bird is banded, the information on the band can identify who he/she may belong to.

In any case, the bird is predator bait outside on its own.

do you have a carrier or cage you can put the bird in and place in a room away from cats and dogs?
