I’m about to adopt a pigeon, I’m hoping to find photos of cages and setups as I prepare. Trying to do the best for her. Thank you!

I don't like seeing birds in cages, despite that I do realize that they should have a protected space. You probably already have a carrier which would be needed for vet visits or during building evacutations (fire alarms etc), so rather than a cage, why not a miniaturized apartment within your home for the bird? Sort of like a doll-house for the bird. With big picture windows (screened of course.) It might be a bit more fun and cheery than any cage.

Hello! I hope I'm not too late for this. I have two setups to share c: The first cage is an extra large Midwest dog crate with double doors from Amazon. You can get a 42 inch one with or without double doors if you have a single, average sized pigeon. Since this was my dove's cage, I'd recommend flat perches over the small, round ones in the pic since a pigeon needs bigger platforms to stand on.
The second cage is a DIY playpen that I put together for my single COF pigeon. If you would like any info on where to find any items in the pictures, please let me know ^-^ ♡
(The photos came out in different orders, sorry about that! Black cage=dog crate, white=DIY )
