I'm in Italy and a mourning dove made her nest on my neighbor's balcony, who hasn't been here in some time (it's a summer spot). There was a storm last week and the mother seemed to have disappeared for a couple of days and in the meantime the hatchlings fell about 3/4 meters from the nest and died. Unfortunately the bodies are still on the balcony because no one has access to it...😔 Anyway the mother came back and she just sits in the nesst all day and night. The neighbors should be coming soon for their summer holidays - is there any advice I can give them in dealing with this dove? Or anything I can do in the meantime to get her out of the nest?
